چکیده

We point out that the main results—the analytic expressions for the Groverian Measure of Entanglement, in the above mentioned paper are erroneous. The technical mistake of the paper is discussed. It is shown by an explicit example that the formula for calculating the Groverian measure yields G(|ψ〉) = 0 for some entangled states. 1 What is this communication about? In their paper “Groverian Entanglement Measure and Evolution of Entanglement in Search Algorithm for n(= 3, 5)-Qubit Systems with Real Coefficients” [1], Arti Chamoli and C. M. Bhandari have given an explicit formula for calculating the ‘Groverian Measure’ of entaglement G(|ψ〉) in terms of the state coefficients. The derivation of the results involves some maximization process which is very difficult to solve analytically and we will show that unfortunately the authors have missed some crucial technical points which has led to incorrect results. 1.1 The result gives G(|ψ〉) = 0 for some entangled states. Let us consider the 3-qubit generalized Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GGHZ) state given by |ψGGHZ〉 = a000|000〉 + a111|111〉, a2000 + a2111 = 1. Then using the formula provided in the paper, we get Pmax(|ψGGHZ〉) = 1 ⇒ G(|ψGGHZ〉) = 0, which contradicts the fact that |ψGGHZ〉 is an (genuinely) entangled state. Indeed it is well known [2] that Pmax(|ψGGHZ〉) = max { a2000, a 2 111 } . (1) Similarly, considering the 5-qubit GGHZ state, the result leads to a contradiction. Effect of random telegraph noise on entanglement and nonlocality of a qubit-qutrit system

We study the evolution of entanglement and nonlocality of a non-interacting qubit-qutrit system under the effect of random telegraph noise (RTN) in independent and common environments in Markovian and non-Markovian regimes. We investigate the dynamics of qubit-qutrit system for different initial states. These systems could be existed in far astronomical objects. A monotone decay of the nonlocalit...

The Groverian Measure of Entanglement for Mixed States

The Groverian entanglement measure introduced earlier for pure quantum states [O. Biham, M.A. Nielsen and T. Osborne, Phys. Rev. A 65, 062312 (2002)] is generalized to the case of mixed states, in a way that maintains its operational interpretation. The Groverian measure of a mixed state of n qubits is obtained by a purification procedure into a pure state of 2n qubits, followed by an optimizat...

درهم‌تنیدگی کوانتومی و گذار فاز کوانتومی تحت اتلاف در مدل ناهمسانگرد هایزنبرگ XXZ با برهم‌کنش ژیالوسینکی - موریا

Because the key issue in quantum information and quantum computing is entanglement, the investigation of the effects of environment, as a source of quantum dissipation, and interaction between environment and system on entanglement and quantum phase transition is important. In this paper, we consider two-qubit system in the anisotropic Heisenberg XXZ model with the Dzyaloshinskii-moriya inter...

Searching for highly entangled multi-qubit states

We present a simple numerical optimisation procedure to search for highly entangled states of 2, 3, 4 and 5 qubits. We develop a computationally tractable entanglement measure based on the negative partial transpose (NPT) criterion, which can be applied to quantum systems of an arbitrary number of qubits. The search algorithm attempts to optimise this entanglement cost function to find the maxi...

Thermal effect and role of entanglement and coherence on excitation transfer in a spin chain

We analyze the role of bath temperature, coherence and entanglement on excitation transfer in a spin chain induced by the environment. In Markovian regime, we show that coherence and entanglement are very sensitive to bath temperature and vanish in time in contrary to the case of having zero-temperature bath. That is while, finding the last qubit of the chain in excited state increases by incre...
